Hairy Woodpeckers

Well, what a day it has been - no foolin'!

I saw a Downey woodpecker this morning, for the second day in a row, and then this evening we saw a pair of Hairy Woodpeckers in our yard. The male was at the suet, and the female at the seed log.

The grackles have outsmarted my spring-action bird feeder.

I finished one of my little stitching projects too! What a busy day!
