At my EGA Chapter our program for the year is "Finishing Smalls". We've made scissor fobs, pin drums, pin pillows and scissor cases. Coming up in November we are making strawberries. I found a lot of how-to instructions on line about assembling the shape. Happy π day!
This post is written for the Coulee Country Chapter of EGA.
So, what is π and what does it have to do with Coulee Country EGA?
π
Pi (π) is the ratio of a circle's circumference to it's diameter. Its value is approximated to 3.14. That is why we celebrate π day on March 14 (3/14).

The boys were wearing shorts and then BLAMMO! We have 11 inches of snow. Minnesota is like that.
So, I've been having some problems in my primary hand and arm, so not too much stitching this week. I got my kit for the EGA On-line class and am really excited about it. The first lesson is this week.
Here's what we have this week:

I am still waiting on my kit for the EGA On-line class. I'm getting a bit nervous that will arrive on time. The class starts next week!
I am wrapping up a few little things I started Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6092024.post-12414369093530383982017-02-10T12:00:00.000-06:002017-02-10T12:00:26.096-06:00Rainbow BookmarkLast week I impulsively bought a ball of rainbow colored #10 thread since it looked so fun.
I tossed the label so I don't know what the name of the color even is anymore. So, I went to my basic bookmark pattern and got out the tatting needle. This turned out so cute, and even better, symmetrical! And it looks like it striped. I wasn't careful about my gauge, or my Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6092024.post-21338600776592367222017-02-09T13:04:00.000-06:002017-02-10T09:20:48.109-06:00I'm back? MaybeWell, three years and here I am again. Life gets busy, I suppose.
I find myself newly invigorated about my embroidery, so here I am to keep track of my next few projects.
I signed up for an on-line course through EGA called "Time to be Happy". It is a fun and colorful sampler. This starts up here in a few weeks.
Heartland Region Spring Seminar (also EGA) is next month and I Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6092024.post-22429544597701033312014-09-26T15:53:00.002-05:002014-09-26T15:53:50.986-05:00Where have I been?

Summer is flying by. I was able to complete the Rosebud Trellis, and it's off at the framers.
I have two more boutique items ready - both bookmarks and will start another one tonight.
I also did a quick punch needle project which I'll send to a friend before school starts.
Pictures... it's time for pictures

I have completed the second and third drawn thread rows, and a row of rosebuds underneath the third row.

I had been picturing what I was going to do for a while now. I have a purse that is turquoise with big white daisies on it. I thought I should mimic that pattern for my phone case. Time for some catch up. I was down at my mom's for spring break and snapped some things I had stitched long ago that are at her house.

Every spring I try and make it to the stitching retreat hosted by my aunts guild. I missed last year, and was thrilled to go this year. I got great stitching done
I got all the little parts done from the hillside.
I completed all the brown colored bands so I could start on the colored parts. It made such a difference in how I felt about the piece.
