Fledglings and other birds

It looks like three baby bluebirds have fledged from our nest box this spring. The first picture shows them waiting for mom on our deck railing. One is up by the bird feeders, and the other two on the downward slope of the rail.

Here's a close up of one of the little cuties.

All day and evening we hear the pheasants. This is the one Thomas calls "our pheasant", because he lives close, and therefore sounds the loudest.

Here's my little female hummingbird. The male comes around as well, but today she was standing guard at the feeder. This year we have flowers and plants that attract them, so maybe we'll get more than these two. I doubt that these little ones will share well though.

Herb Garden Sampler - Updated progress

Progress! Just have a few trees to finish, add two more ravens (it is called the Raven Hill Herb Farm Samples), Then I can move on to the next section! Itty bitty over one thread. But then we get to some really fun stitches!

Finally, I feel like I've made progress on this sampler. The lawn in front of the little house seemed to take forever. Just a few trees left, then on to the fun stuff!
