While I wasn't stitching....

Summer has begun.  I have been planting a garden, and maybe we'll get something good out of it.  It's too weedy to post pictures of.  I like to say my garden is "natural".  I keep the weeds away from the veggies, but that's about as far as I go.  I built some trellises for my beans and peas, but I don't know if they'll do well enough to grow up them.

I haven't been doing much stitching.  I did a bit on vacation, and then nothing for more thank a week.  I think once you take a break it's tough to get going again.  This weekend I did pick up that Lori Birmingham (sp?) basket top again.  After I tore out all those queen stitches I was pretty much ready to put it down for a while.  So Saturday I picked it up again and put in one queen stitch. Then on Sunday I did two more.  Maybe I'll get ready to really go at it again this evening.

We had some bluebirds fledge from one of our boxes this weekend.
Small, and fuzy, but here's Momma with a snack for three little ones (they are all in a pile there on the right)

We went on vacation to Northern Minnesota this month. It is so lovely there.

Lastly, here's a lovely sunset as seen from our back yard.

On vacation

Some nice quiet time on vacation is hard to come by with two little boys. They are off tossing rocks into the lake with Dad and I got to hang back and stitch!

I finished up my button for my EGA guild's needlework show this fall while listening to the water lap the shore.

Bookmarks completed

I finished a couple of bookmarks I made from the extra fabric I had left from my biscornu. I'll send these to the guild boutique at our Needlework Show this fall.
Two new bookmarks.  Assisi Stitch.

TUSAL May

Might not be too much different from last month as I haven't been stitching much lately.
